Founded in 2019, Indiana Phenology is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with communities, schools, and individuals to gather scientific data that helps build a more resilient world and protects Indiana’s natural treasures. We aim to increase science-based environmental stewardship by empowering Hoosiers of all ages to participate in citizen science phenology data collection.
This project is to provide a more interactive site where users can view and interact with the data being gathered. It includes weekly and historical information about the local species data. There are multiple ways to filter and interact with this species data, including by county, phenotype, and other classifications. As more citizen science data is recorded, this site will reflect the changes and observations being made!

The data visualized on this site is powered by the collective effort of trained volunteers, community partners, and dedicated observers across Indiana. Their careful, long-term phenology observations provide the foundation for every chart, map, and trend you see here.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all contributors whose work makes this resource possible. Your observations enrich our understanding of Indiana’s ecosystems and support research, management, and education statewide.
